It has nothing to do with falses or sensitivity. It is just more RX65 users have had more trouble with their RD then X50 users.

I didn't like the fact that it never went to full alert. I had an ISP trooper drive past me on a 2 lane road and shoot me with Instant on. I could have touched his car when he passed....got 4/9 LEDs. Same with speed signs. Never a full alert. I also don't like the fact that it will only show you one K, KA band at a time. The escort will show you 2 of each. I went to a V1 because of the arrows. But I want a X50 as back up. My V1 is as quiet as my 65 was. Some places it's quieter. :?Originally Posted by pratzert
Hope that helps some what.
He does have a point with the full alert thing. Mine never gives a full alert and I hate that about it.Originally Posted by davekr
That's my point man. What if your hauling A$$ and you can't take your eyes off the road? I know with my V1 w/o looking how close I am. Thing goes like a pinball machine. I would go with either a V1 or X50 from Roy.
My 895 does this too. Has anyone talked to Bel about this or actually sent in a detector to have it tested by Bel? The 895 I have has picked up lots of radar including Ka but I can only remember it pegged out once while coming up to a HP on the side of the road with someone else pulled over.
I was wondering if the new M4 antenna on the RX65 took care of this problem of full alerts but no one seems to know
I belive that was the purpose but not sure if it worked.... :?Originally Posted by aaseavey
Well...If it did fix the problem I believe this would boost the RX65 over the X50.
Why? That leads me to belive why most of the guys say X50 over 65... :?Originally Posted by aaseavey
Other than the STi being "Undetectable", are the specs for the STi and the RX65 the same ???
I live in Maryland and it's NOT Illegal to have a RD, so I don't have to spend a larger amount for the STi, UNLESS..... it does have better performance than the RX65.
