Really are you a Solo S2 expert as well? If the x50 units can be upgraded why not the S2.

Ku band radar has been abandoned in every western European country. In Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Great Briton, Italy, Romania, Hungary, ETC ETC ETC: Ku has been replaced by K, Ka and Lidar units. No where in the US is Ku used. In fact, Ku has never been used in the US. This is the US, remember? Do you really believe some big city police dept is going to go to the mayor and ask for $ to purchase 20 year old technology? Do you really believe some Radar Manufacturer is going to replace their current technology with outdated technology that nobody wants? Low power Ka units, LIDAR units, Dual Band units, Photo Radar, that's what police depts are buying, hence that's what companies are making and selling.

Oh, and I doubt that SOLO2 can be 'upgraded' to detect Ku.

Ugh, guess the STi laser detection sucks just like the rx65. Wil be interested to read, did it go off at all, do you mount high or low?

Hi amoney I've posted what happened ; the unit was actually good in picking the laser up.. my reaction time was just to slow....

I have it mounted low on the dashboard via velcro

Yeah it's a bit hard to mount high in RD illegal areas, on the dash leaves easy access to remove it in a hurry
