hhahaha somebody tried that one already. wasnt it 411 who hid it in his wifes purse and the cop sweated them for an hour and half by the road.

The problem with mounting above the visor is that on some cars like mine doing this does not allow a level line of sight. Level points at the upper inside trim strip. In order to miss the trim strip the detector must be pointed facing down quite a bit. This may not be a problem with some cars but for those with severely sloping windshields this is a major concern. The cops may not be able to see the detector but then again you may not be able to pick up the cops.

I guess you can try it out and not speed while you are evaluating whether the mounting position renders the detection less then satisfactory.

Yup has to be level or you are fecked on the laser. Plus if HappyA$$ sees it he will leave a nasty note on your car.

I'll respond to both posts here. What bothers me is that your acting like your doing something that's some big secrete and your unwillingness to share I find unusual. I don't like having my time wasted or wasting other people's time, so rest assured I will not send you anymore messages and I'd appreciate if you do the same.

Well then since your such an expert why don't you educate us all on how your doing it. This forum is for you to share your ideas to help other rders otherwise why be here.

If I know any technicality of some issue I'm always glad to share it with everybody... but in YOUR case all YOU want is to find out MY OWN STRATEGY/LOGISTIC of operating my RD in a total illegal environment... you're a funny guy... but at least you took an honest shot... unsuccessfull... as I said before, if you don't have your OWN ideas, your OWN strategy, try to look on the road, hard-working trucks or contractor vans, or some police cruisers, and if no ideas at all go to any Spy Store and buy something that will help you solve the problem for good...
