How visible is the firing of the blinder?

I'm new to this forum, so maybe this has been discussed.. I have been researching the different laser jammers and have decided on the Blinder. But I have one concern..when the unit fires can't it be seen by the police at that time?? I can see that it's not as likely during the day light, but what about night?? I have understand my State, Illinois, has passed it's own law against the laser jammers. (no surprise, if Illinois can't TAX something..they outlaw it!!) So anyway should I install one I will need to hide it. I have a couple ideas but still wonder about the brightness of the firing. Has anyone tested it at night to see how obvious it is :?:

Blinder fires infrared which is basically invisible to the human eye. So they'll see nothing, unless looking at you through a camera with night shot or something...
