mercedes '05 sl500 where to mount

hey guys i need help with instaling my blinders in the front of my car. i originally was going to install them under the bumper in the black mesh but im afraid thats too far from the headlights. my other choice, if it can fit, is in the lowest part of the grill, on both sides of the star emblem.

has anyone seen blinders installed on this specific vehicle and where did they put them and did they work? also what is your opinion on where to put them?

sorry this is my 1st post and i didnt realize i couldnt post a pic. so im hoping u could use your memory on what the front of an '05 sl500 looks like.

I would put it in the middle of the grills closest to the headlights.

Try mounting them in right on top of the hood on either side of the star you will get maximum coverage there,lol

Get the M-40 and install 3 heads on the front and one inthe back. Install 2 in the lower grill out almost to the edge of the outsides and mount one in the los=wer part of the star in the middle. That is what I did on a customers car.

LatinMax...if the car you worked on didn't have distronic, how much of a recess was there from the front of the base of the star to the actual blinder head (and did you cut the mesh there)?

I'm moving my heads (smaller than blinder) on my CLK and was thinking about mounting in the star base, but there is a good distance beteen the front of the star and it's mesh backing.
