04 BMW M3 wire running/ power questions

I have a 04 BMW M3 and am getting ready to install an M20 and 9500i but have a couple of wiring questions.

1. How do I remove the pillars or molding that runs down the edge of the front windshield? (This is for my 9500i install high on the windshield)

2. Any suggestions on finding a power sourse as well as a ground for both devices?

I was able to take the sunroof switch cover off and see lots to wires in there. Would that be a good place to get power and a ground from for my 9500i? If so, which ones would I use?

I appreciate any advise. My mission is not to break anything.

Hey,WALT look at Valentine One section,thread is called:"How to hardwire your RD with RJ-11 power connector"....there are pic.and detailed description of"HOW TO".....that thread should be a STICKY!
