Default Laser Jammers May Become Banned in the Future...

If laser jamming companies such as Blinder do not "try" everything they can to instruct people on how to properly use these products they may become banned.

Here is yet another example on you tube of a typical moron jamming the officers gun, not only that, but coming around for seconds:

    YouTube - Blinder laser jammer

Do you think the police are so stupid they cannot add 1+1? Eventually the complaints make there way up the chain of command and laws are enacted.

This is typical irresponsible use of the Blinder. Thanks to this clown, and thousands like him, thier collective actions may lead to a complete ban of laser jammers, or more severe fines at the least. I think this is common sense.

Blinder and other jamming companies should join forces to discourage this kind of use. Perhaps making customers sign an agreement, or putting a device on which will only jam for 4 seconds before shutting off etc.

I can see the writing on the wall. The person in this video does not deserve to have a laser jammer AT ALL. He and thousands like him, including these kids etc, who think it's cool to jam to gun will ruin it for the rest of us.

Everyone should act now before it's too late.

These have been my feelings for a little while. While I'm glad I stumbled upon this forum and this hobby, I'm a little skeptical as how long it will last. I'm afraid jtging and general irresponsibility will ruin it. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but those in LE aren't dumb and I have my doubts that the legality will last (although I'm generally optimistic about it, I have very little confidence in our society to do the right thing and keep the power in the civilians hands - I wish I could be more optimistic, but I'm afraid the power will shift as always towards LE and us becoming a police state even more). That said, once at psl, shut off jammer and allow leo to acquire speed! Let's keep leos happy.

    Default america is great!

you leaving out the fact that they cant just "make them illegal" laws have to be proposed voted upon and passed. Not only could the law be shot down, but to go through the process takes a good amount of time. Its not like your going to buy a jammer wake up the next day and it will be illegal.

Elect Mrs. Bill Clinton and laws like that will be passed instantly. That law won't be shot down.

    1) All those videos should be removed by their authors ... if they read this forum ...

    2) It is already illegal to disrupt the course of justice .

    3) Education / Intelligence is not sold at stores ...too bad .

So, is firing at a motorist who is travelling the speed limit at a distance of 1500 ft with an out of calibration lidar gun justice?????? Then ticketing thaat motorist because the out of cal gun said he was going faster than he really was. Is that justice? I admit that soome of the tactics used by both sides are unethical but hey, we need balance.

Even if they are illegal, it would be a non-mover.

I doubt Texas would have a confiscation clause if they did ban them.

    Are you serious?

So as long as it takes 4 or 5 years to get passed it's ok? No. I want them legal in the same way that radar detectors are legal. Unfourtunatly laser is not protected by the FCC regulations.

We are talking about money here. Or lack thereof caused by jammers. By depriving the politicans of revenue you can virtually gaurantee stiffer fines will be enacted against jammers or a ban passed. It's that simple.

People need to use these devices properly or they will ruin it for everyone else. Bottom of the line. Just look at the videos of people JTG thinking its funny. If this kind of behavoir can only lead to one thing.
