It was installed professionally. Is Will it have t be completely removed, or can I unplug the transponders? Anyone know? I am concearned about my blinder now, as I live in Tampa bay and am notr sure that I am as protected as I once thought.

That is a great question. I emailed Leon last week about this issue and he never responded to me.Originally Posted by LS1-Camaro
You need to unplug the wires that go into the central unit, and unthread them all the way to the front of the car (wherever the blinders are located). Then probably coil up the wires and send it in .You can't, from my knowledge, "unplug" them AT the transponder units themselves... you need to leave the wires attached.
I would just hang on until you hear from Leon on what he needs from us. It isn't going to hurt for you to leave it hooked up and use it until the fixed version is released. We should only have a few months at most before we get more info on the exchange/swap.
I didn't get mine installed before I found this all out so I am just leaving mine in the box, but if I had it installed I would leave it until the swap happens.
