I need an extra head for my m40. What versions are there? how do I determine this? I think I still have the original box.

Look on the back of the heads..You should see a sticker with #'s on it. It will have a J#..That is the version.

OK... tried my best to read the back of the head with a mirror:

What is the best way to test which head is not working?

Shooting it with a remote control that'll set it off, and checking with a camera to see if it fires back.

I have 2 old Blinder M20 heads one of them is broken I might be willing to part with them but I need to see is any of my vendor friends have a replacement so i could get my M20 back in action before i part with that set-up

That is so far out of date it is going to be impossible...We do not even stock anything that old anymore..May want to consider start saving for a upgrade...I'll check and see by chance if I have one but doubt it.
