Default Blinder Jammer head placement and etc

    Hi guys,

I need your input about this blinder jammer head installation. There is no place to fit the blinder heads except in between grill in my car. Bumper is out of the question since it can be seen and it's illegal in my state. Under the bumper is also out of the question since plastic part that I can install the mount is only 1/4 inch thick and it will not be strong enough to hold the blinder steady while moving. Unfortuantely, grill blades are NOT straight 90 degrees so I had to compensate the angle to by best ability to make it closely as possible to 90 degrees but I can't get there. I think it's 88 degrees at best. There is very very little room between the grill to work with.

Headlight to my blinder head is about 10 inches and to my license plate is about 8 inches.

I'm little concerned about since it's not perfect 90 degrees it may be vulnerable to unwanted PT vulnerability.

P.S. My car has a very low profile.

Sorry for the editing of the picture. I do not want to give LEO any description of my car or the color since it is a very rare color SL500. They do visit this forum time to time I see.

I'd like to put them in the grille, but I doubt it could be done without some modification, so this is my next best idea.

That was where I first wanted to install it but the bumper where the laser jammer will screw into is only 1/8 inch thick(lower). Jammer heads will bounce or that piece of fiber glass might even break off. Upper plastic piece has steel reinforcement under it so I can't put it there unless I drill(don't have drill set) a hole through the thick metal and being a bumper, I don't think that steel reinforcement is hollow. It's probably solid metal.

I'll call MB tomorrow to find out if it's hollow or solid.

    Thanks.

Ahh... Dremel.. handy man's best friend. How did you screw the head in though? Is there a solid panel behind the each grill blade?

Yes, the brackets attach to the sensors and then screwed through the vanes of the grill quite nicely actually!

    Lucky,

Luckily my grill is not chrome. That pictured SL500 has chromed grill. My grill except for the MB star is off little dark beige color.
