Default Going with a Blinder install...how many heads and where?

    Hello all,

Stealth Stalker recently commented on a post I had about cars with headlight sprayers and Veil. Windshield fluid ruins veil. So I mentioned that I will be getting a blinder system installed and he suggested I post a pic of the front end of my car so I could get advice on which blinder system to get and where to place the heads etc...but I can't give you a direct link to a pic because my post count is too low So I'll tell you what it is. Its a 2004 Audi A6 S-Line, black with Laser Veiled chrome and fog lights, no front plate. I have realized that the veil cannot be on the headlights but everything else will stay veiled. Or you could go to flickr.com and add this to the address to see the car itself.

I'm thinking an M25 should be good enough. Two heads right by the headlights. And whats the latest model number I should be making sure to get? I saw some results for the J16s(?) I think it was and many made the comment that the previous m20 was better. But I heard they have since fixed that, is that correct?

    Thanks all

I tested an A4 with ZR3 and no front plate, honestly it was JTG... I'd garantee Blinder M25 would do even better

Here is an enhanced pic of frizzlefry's car, along with where I would place a set of jammer heads.

Frizzle has HID headlights. If he keeps them turned on while driving, then PT distances should be halved. I think that a set of Blinders, in conjunction with lightly Veiling the chrome and driving with the HID lights turned on, should prove to be very effective.

I agree with MEM-TEKs product and placement recommendations. I have tested an older model of that car with the ZR3, and everything was 300 feet or less. That was with Veiled headlights. Blinder without Veiled headlights will do a little better, probably cutting that number in half, if not JTG with the weaker guns.

I know that having the lights on helps when hit by lidar but I would think that driving in daylight with them on would actually attract more attention when you really want to blend into the background. Yes most cars have daytime running lights but they a much dimmer that full on lights. Something to think about.

Agreed. That has been a dilemma in my mind for quite awhile. Speaking as a cop, I don't think that headlights make a huge difference in whether or not you're going to get tagged or not. Generally speaking, if an officer is running LIDAR, then he is looking down the road and seeing everyone coming towards him. If you're not in a pack, he's not going to miss you. If you are in a pack, then you're going to stand out more because of your speed than your headlights, especially as common as DRLs are these days.

DRLs might make a tiny difference in getting noticed by a cop, but probably not enough to worry about. Especially if you have HIDs that can help stealth your LIDAR profile.

Headlights during the daytime can be visually distracting -- enough for the average person to need a couple of extra seconds to estimate the vehicle's speed.
