Saw my first in a town about 50 miles from here the other day. My wife was returning from OKC last week and said she saw 2 OHP standing outside the car pointing something at cars. I asked if he was holding it up to his eye, she really didn't pay attention. So it is getting here. Looks like with the proper setup Laser would be easier to deal with than the IO KA I deal with all the time.

I'm sure the blinder will buy me the precious seconds I need to slow down. But I still think the Laser is more of a threat than Ka/K band. Here in Calgary, the police usually don't set up lidar traps far down the road. They are just over hills and around corners. Usually they start shooting at around 500 feet. Ka/K band on the other hand, well, my V1 alerts me to them. The Ka band in Calgary are the photo vans. Easy to pick up. I usually get about 1 or 2 kms worth of warning. K band in the city is mobile, harder to pick up, but the V1 always lets me know. Given city traffic, they have to be pretty close before they can get a definate K reading off of you.
