2006 Mustang GT placement m25/m27

MEM-TEK, what year model was the Mustang? Different years have very different front ends.

Here is a pic of the Mustang from last year. I think that the owner now has the heads mounted a bit further apart.

Below are links to the test results for the Georgia Testers Group's June 6, 2009 Atlanta Jammerfest event. Hopefully I have correctly compiled all of the written data (fingers crossed). Notes:

• Most of the initial test runs for the new Blinders were performed from a shooting location which was located a good 75 feet back from the road and up the slope of a grassy hill. All of those test runs were with the temporarily installed Blinder heads mounted such that their sensors were located inwards or nearer the center of the truck's grille. The group fairly quickly determined that the temporarily installed heads were not level, that the heads needed to be flipped in order to orient the sensors outwards, and that our shooting location was just way too far away from the road. We stopped, moved our shooting location, properly reinstalled the new Blinder heads, and then started the testing procedure over again.

well im really looking into the m25 i can get a good deal for 350 bucks new...i just don't know if i should wait for the m27 to come out and spend hte extra money...anyway look at this placement i drew...the headlights, foglights, and turn signals are well within the 18" range..

Here's a picture of the ZR3 install of a member at our last test. I think the M25's or 27's would perform as well as the ZR3's, probably better.

Yeah, I meant a month until they are thoroughly tested.

My bad. Mine are on the way too, hopefully I can get them installed before our test on the 15th. We are going to give them a workout on the MOAC.

I realize the Blinders seem to perform better than the ZR3's but the OP's Mustang does have those extra lights in the grille.

I do think he should try the low position with the M27's and test them to see how they perform.

Again, I have seen a lot of fail out of low mounted heads. It's never plan-A. But then again, you never know until you try it and test it extensively. Extensively doesn't mean one guy with one gun shooting you a couple times, either. It means extensively. If you are absolutely, positively opposed to cutting your grille, then sure... give it a shot. It's better than nothing. And it may even give you all the protection you need. But it remains less than ideal.

oh i can cut the grill and make it look good...im a metal fabricator as a hobby and a mechanic as my occupation. Im not worried about that i was just tryin to take an easier route...but if thats a better placement then i will do that.

Its just if they are places there then the laser heads 18" spread only goes into the headlight halfway...thats what im worried about..

its called a chin spoiler just the retro styling of the 69 to 70 mach ones...you goats don't really have anything like that so i can see why you would think that..

For what it is worth I would mount them in the upper grill area near fog lights and Veil the lights.
