    Default 2001 Audi S4 M27 Placement

Well, my M27 should be on its way soon, and I was just thinking of where the best place to mount it would be.

Below is essentially what the front of my car looks like, I have horizontal grills on the bottom rather than honeycomb RS4 grills, but otherwise it's the same. The top grill goes up with the hood so that's a no go.

Laser jammers are illegal here so it needs to be as stealth as possible too.

    Thanks!

Best place overall is in the middle grill where the audi's logo is. Spread as far as you can to the head lights. The most stealth install is in the lower grill nest to the foglights with the bubble in. I personally will install the lower grill if jammers are illegal. P.S. nice ride. hope you intend to get rear protection soon.

I don't recommend the above installation as the hood is attached to the grill and when you close your hood you could ruin the internals of the laser jammer
Go with this install that was on a similar A4

    Thanks guys!

Yeah, I wasn't going to do the install on the top grill, my engine runs extremely hot (twin turbo 2.7L...), I've had some random cables melt before haha so I wouldn't want to risk it with the jammer. Plus, I'm under my hood every week for some reason, so constantly opening and closing it might throw off the alignment.

I don't have 15 posts yet so I can't see the pictures in the A4 thread, could you describe where they are?

    Thanks

If you mount them low, you'll need to go crazy with the Veil and chrome black-out. And pray a lot.

LI on many cars has failed to protect in that position, so for my money, I wouldn't be putting that much faith in an M27 doing significantly better.
