    Default Finally!! a real LEO encounter

    I'm driving through Felton,DE today and I see an unmarked Malibu with someone pulled over. I peer into the car as I drive by and say hmm...no mounted radar, betcha he's shootin laser or hand held radar.

    So I wait about 10 minutes and double back to the spot and there he is shooting southbound traffic with a ProLaserIII so I drive up aways bang a u-turn and wait for all the traffic to pass so Im the sole car driving towards him.

    I get the first alarm at about 1000ft...Whislter Pro78SE reports Laser @235PPS it stops...and Im thinkin **** punch through, but he hits me again Pro78SE reports Laser @236PPS he stays on trigger and stops. I think damn punch through now Im going about 30mph and he hits me again at about 300ft then stops as I think the cars where coming up behind me and he gives me the death stare as I drive by. I was ready to hit the kill switch but he already had stopped shooting at me.

    I then double back and a different LEO is shooting northbound traffic I couldn't see the gun but my Pro78SE reports 105PPS and he laid on a good 5 seconds I hit the kill switch and he promptly pulled the gun away almost like he was hiding it and looks directly at me.

    It was a dark gun maybe an LTI or Stalker?


    I made a few more passes and they both had customers and while the second LEO was writing a ticket we made eye contact for the 3rd time and I figured I better not press my luck and came home.

    stalkers pulse rate is 130
    pl III is 200
    LA/PL II is 238....so it had to have been that...and wat were u talking about with PT? u dont have jammers do u?

    Yeah I have an M27 on my Avalanche. I was up your way last week with RadarRob and his PL2. We had JTG on the drivers side and passenger side on the first run, but after that the passenger wouldn't jam anything so we figured it was a bad head, which I replaced yesterday.

    I saw the PLIII with my own eyes , but the second LEO pulled the gun away so quick I couldn't see what it was. The Pro78SE is very good at reporting PPS, it reported Rob's PL2 @237PPS so I think the Felton Police need their gun calibrated.

    I'm thinking it was an LTI Ultralyte

    UL are either 100 or 125 PPS. The only 238 are LA or PL2.

    Learn to use the kill switch after getting to PSL, don't wait for them to get PT or assume they did. Some of those small town LEO's have nothing to do but screw with you, don't give them a reason, and there's nothing but small towns in DE!!

    I think the second gun was an UL. The first gun was for sure a PL3. I've lived in DE my whole life and these small towns don't bother me and I was waiting to see if he got PT until about 150ft and was going to kill it.

    I bet he was on and off the trigger every time you got the beeps and could not get a reading so gave up.

    Where if Felton? I lived in DE for many years but can't place where that is located?

    A test like this can only be valid* if you you were significantly over PSL but I take it you were doing PSL...how can you be certain he did not get a PT after all?

    *only proves Blinder was active...not how effective it was...

    Just north of Harrington if you are on Rt.13 and blink you've passed it. They have special permission from the state to control traffic on Rt.13
