Worth it to upgrade from M25 to M27?

Hi all,

I currently have a black 2004 Audi A6 (no front plate) with a Blinder M25 installed, with heads in the lower grill. Not the most ideal position but the upper grill is attached to the hood and would not support the heads very well. Anyways, I am wondering if the performance of the M27 as opposed to M25 makes it worth the 500 bucks or if I should be good with the M25 I have currently?

No, I have not. No access to a lidar gun...have gone through a couple of traps, blinder went off, I slowed down, no tickets and I was speeding by about 18-20km over the limit. But as far as actual punch through distances etc I have no idea.

I was sorta wondering which way to go as well. Being new to the whole radar thing’ makes me a real novice. As I pan over the forum postings/reports and opinions, it’s pretty clear who makes the better anti-laser mouse trap but the cost is too rich for my blood. Heck, I have to start with a different grill, and that alone is almost 600-bucks! Then again, I've never been known to scrimp on any hobby I’ve jumped into. In fact, being here in Arizona I’m more susceptible to Lo-K SUV’s than anything else; but why stop there?

Yup, Calgary, Alberta Canada. So I have been trying to find out what lidar guns the police use here and I found a police recruiting video from 2008 showing what appears to be a LTI Marksman...I know the RCMP tend to use LTI guns. My guess would be that, currently, I am facing LTI Ultrlytes but I am not 100% on that.

I will most likely be up to AB and BC in the Spring to run some testing for everyone. But until you get it tested, it's really hard to say whether it is worth it or not. We don't know what your current results are. I will say that an upgrade certainly would not hurt! And I would feel much better with an Mx7 than an Mx5, no doubt. But hell, your M25 may be kicking arse too.

Without looking over at the "Local Info" list, I believe AB is running Ultralytes, PLIIIs, and LAs.
