I was just going to say contact fatchick109 as he has just done this install in the bumper, but I see he beat me too it.
really looking forward to the test results to see how this setup performs.

There are pre-install measurements and sketches in the 1st couple posts of my indepth install thread.
There are also post install measurements in post #42 of the link I provided covering the indepth install.
So that should give you a good starting place.
Next Saturday my friend! As of the evening of the 27th I will either be very happy or very pissed depending on the test results. VEIL is in the mail for the headlight covers. The Stalker lidar will be in my hands and I'll be testing myself and 3-4 other dudes. I even have a spare set of non Veil'd headlight covers to do a comparison vs the Veil'd ones.
thanks...thats a great right up....so hows it performing for you?
blinder came in yesterday...mocked it up with the brackets and made a template ...though im thinking the template could be made just of the sensor itself....heres my plan of attack... find the proper distance placement....tape up the area...sharpie the template of just the sensor itself....make the cut with the diegrinder...after cutting through the bumper cover....sharpie the area exposed....remove the bumper cover...trim the bumper...make the additional room for sensor angle adjustment/height....reinstall bumper cover ...this should make it a tighter cleaner install......and before all the install...paint the area black....

that should work just fine man. Pulling the bumper cover is super easy. There are 4 bolts up the sides of each fender, 3-4 bolts under the lip of the hood in front of the radiator then 4 more bolts behind the airdamn lip that secure the bumper cover to the bottom of the radiator support.
I did make my cutout as tight as possible. But the Blinder brackets are just a tad bit taller than the body of the jammer head so I did have to open the hole a little bit. But that is because I mounted my heads slightly recessed into the bumper. Also be mindful of the curvature of the bumper. It will cause the heads to be pointed outward a bit so you'll need to use something like washers to shim the brackets a little.
Just take your time to think it out and you'll nail the install. good luck.
thanks for the advice...cant wait to see the results of your setup....should be good since its in a more ideal location.
No problem. glad to help.
As far as getting the faces of the heads pointing straight and on the same plane as each other I found that using a metal Yard Stick worked very well. Some guys use string or fishing line to create a straight reference line. On last thing, trust your measurements. When the heads are aligned straight ahead the curvature of the bumper WILL make them look like they are misaligned. It's an optical illusion. Especially from this angle:
I'll be interested to see my results as well. I just got my VEIL in the mail and treated my 4 eye headlight covers, License plate, turn signal covers and my antennae (its big and silver so when its extended it presents a reflective surface).
worked on the car a bit...
just enough for the head units to stick through
pic of the inner bumper....some trimming...but looks like it will be a vertical (left) and horizontal (right) retaining screws....so i might not have to shim after all...
measured center and went 22" wide....about 16-18 inches from center of headlight and license plate to headunits...so far so good
