I cannot believe no one is jumping all over this?! Maybe we should move it over to the testing forum? ;-)

He has all 4 heads up front though.

What's more interesting is when he tested without the upper heads, then without the lower ones in the ambush test. He did better with only the lower heads, Maybe because they are closer to the headlights. It is also worth noting that he isn't using veil on his headlights.

If I could make this work with the same results with just two heads I would do so in a minute, but running LEDs, I fear can only be accomplished with four heads.

I was hoping for more on the two head set-up but it was not to be with this download.

I am still very tight, but with TX changing the law I fear many other states will follow and I long for the day when we can jam without having the necessary for aesthetic overkill!! :-)

I'm curious about two possible changes to your setup (other than switching to LI). First, veil on your headlights. Your headlights appear to really be your achilles heal. Both because they wrap around, and because it's difficult to get the heads close enough to them. I suspect that this would help noticably. Second, maybe also sticking with the lower heads (if necessary), even though this will leave you more vulnerable over hills.

My setup might also be of interest when I get it tested. I also have a small , silver car, with similar headlights. I'm in the process of installing my M47s with two up front and two in the back. I have veiled the headlights, tail lights, and all reflectors and emblems and such. I am also going to install a black bra, to make the front not silver anymore. If all of that cannot minimize the PTs, then the only options are all 4 up front of switch to LI (when I can afford it).

I do think my car is a bit smaller than yours, but still similar,

Thanks for carrying out this test guys and sharing your findings. Should we wait for a bit more testing by others to confirm a verdict on the new software?

What was your conclusion anyways on the new software?

It seems like the M47 installs are very effective with Blinder, and I am suprised that Jmccam's install the lower heads did better as they look roughly the same distance from the headlights as the top, and the top location is always the most recommended area for best performance :P

I think we would all rave over the numbers if we got more info on the course layout and how the tests we performed. If this was done in the typical testing fashion, i.e., straight flat course, shooter direct ahead or 5ft~6ft on either side. Then the numbers are acceptable for the vehicles with the better setup and/or that are easier to protect.
Below is what I posted on the Blinder Forum yesterday. JEM posted the results here so that I could attend my daughter's schooll function. We used the same course we have used in the past so as to be as consistent as possible. Here was the post:

"Today I met with JEM58, VE52001 and E53X5 today so that we could test out Blinders with the new 2.12 software downloaded.

The results were mixed so I will let everyone come to their own conclusions.

The course was approximately 1200' ft long and straight with slight bumps and a good dip which appeared to make jamming one particular gun difficult.

For fun we also set-up an ambush scenario where the shooter was way off to the side shooting over a slight rise as the driver came around a curve. We wanted to test how well the Blinders could detect and jam at an extreme angle. We only used one gun, the Ultralyte, due to time and because it is used the most in this area.

The primary shooter was JEM58 and during his run E53X5 shot him so that we could remain consistent.

When reviewing the results, if I did not have range, we did not shoot, etc. then I put -- in place of the result.

I also wanted to test my set-up running just two heads in the front instead of all four so I ran the ambush route with my lower heads disconnected first and then my upper heads disconnected. I was suprised by the results."
