Well that would depend, speedo indicated MPH or actual MPH?

I should also note... people should put down the model/year of their bike and any mods... also was that speedo indicated, actual: LEO confirmed, actual: GPS confirmed, actual: % off.

Default young and silly, now, just silly :)

we don't do mph here in australia, so bare with me in kmh.
the quickest bikes i've had plus my race bikes was, first, my 1999 zx-9r. onboard this sweet, 136rwhp rocket with a tail wind helping, saw the speedo wind to 281-282kmh. put in with tire growth and speedo error, 260kmh is more the truth. that was great until i through it, and me, into an arm-co fence at 95kmh, ouch
before that, i owned a nice new, 140hp 1997 k1200rs bmw. this was a beautiful bike and surprisingly fast. one afternoon, with my 45kg wringing wet girl friend pillion, we lucked out on a clear dual carriage way. so i held it wot (wide open throttle) to see what the Bavarian autobahn monsters good for, 286kmh. add the error and stuff and i just peeped my zx-9r by a few k's.
then i got this 2000 yzf-r1. not a bad bike but 240kmp was all was game for on that temperamental sob on the road. so i stripped it and started racing it until i trashed it at a high speed right hander, spearing it into an out field, messy, but good bye yam, phew .
then came project gsxr-1000k2. i had 3 of these bikes for racing over 3 years. at the track on our longest strait, i could guess a respectable, and quite true, 260+kmh on the right conditions before banking it in to turn one. these bike where pretty standard, but pushed out a respectable, on average, 147 to 155rwhp with little trouble. how ever, for me, hitting the scales at just over 85kg, was not to be my advantage for racing. i was just to heavy, although i could muscle the gixxes on the tight tracks, i didn't do very well.

Shouldn't the tire growth (which should be negligible but...) cause the bike to run faster than the speedo?
