The only way i can tell that the vette isnt a real cop car is the fact that police wheels (rims) must cover so much of the caliper. Those rims would never last in a offroad chase, nor would the front of the car. But very nice photoshopping.
You don't want the brakes covered for performance.
You need them to breathe to cool down faster, it helps them last longer and gives you better stopping. That's why some cars have side vents to help cool the calipers and pads.
More lights then a christmas tree... 8)

I love how the mustangs sound, but they have NO POWER...
My little 140hp 0-60 in 7.8 car, with a truck engine, can whoop a new stang any day of the week...
But, the new cobras are nice, and the new Shelby that will be coming out in a few years is pure heaven...
I think saying that the cobra's have no power is a little arrogant. 300 HP is more then enough for most people to feel that adrenaline rush when you put the peddle down. I agree the mustangs sound bad@$$. From personal experience with supercharging the 4.6 litre's by ford... they don't last very long. So I wouldn't feel comfortable purchasing the new shelby. I'd prefer a NA motor instead of supercharged. Vette IMHO has better bang for your buck.

If your car does 0-60 in 7.8 seconds, a bone-stock current-generation Mustang GT is going to blister you in that sprint, and put even more distance on you in the quarter....
You might want to check some 0-60 figures as well as quarter-mile figures before you make that claim. Either from published sources or from hobbyist "time slips" from drag strips.
Even dragging around a couple hundred pounds more of hardened chassis and misc. police equipment, you're still going to be hard-pressed to keep up with the "Police" version.
And if you're talking from your "street racing" experience, that simply doesn't count - there's way too many variables involved, including driver ability, as well as even if the driver of the 'Stang lined-up next to you was even remotely trying to race.
Compared objectively, if it takes your car 7.8 seconds to get to 60 MPH, a stock Mustang GT is going to be long, long gone....
A early 240 SX does 0-60 in 7,8 seconds? My aunt had one, it sure didn't do 0-60 in 7.8 seconds... maybe 0-60 km/hIt was pretty peppy though... the digital speedo ticked me off but the heads up display was neat. Of course the windshield cost $1000 :roll:
I did all the work on my car myself, and the stand that was next to me that ran against me.. I cut off at 75 (Coming up to the main street of next town, so I slowed down) and he kept going..
But, I did whoop him... 0-75 was no problem for my baby :-)
But, the mustang owner was revving his engine like a jackass so I had to show him that he shouldnt be stuck up just because he had a mustang..
I mean, his car sounded great, and it looked awesome, perfect paint, stripe on the side and tinted windows but it was done right....
Yeah, my car does 0-60mph or 0-100kmh in 7.8, last time I checked, I did do a bit more work on it since then though so who knows... Ill have to take it to Myrtle beach slide fest or something...
