I believe the Audi Q7 has K band along with the Mercs.

If you are spending 80+k on a car Im sure you would be able to swing an extra $2,800 so that you dont have to touch the brake pedal in traffic. But then again I have never been in the position of buying a Merc.

True about the cost. But I would not want to spend that much on something that would make my RD obsolete. I would rather have use of my RD and do my own braking. I think most RD owners with Mercs would feel the same, if they were aware of what Distronic does. Remember it only applies 20% of maximum braking power. So that limits it's usefulness.
