And as far as proper preparation it's obvious he doesn't have acccess to an expensive paint booth, oven or high quality gun to spray with for pete sake's he's painting a grill not a ferrari.

The grill is plastic, not metal. And, like I said, I accept the risk that it won't turn out. This is worth a shot to me because I don't really want an aftermarket mesh grill but I also don't like having a nice chrome laser reflector on the front of the car. It's pretty beaten-up anyway so there isn't much harm to be done from a cosmetic point of view. True, it's definitely not a Ferrari.
O I thought you said you bought a mesh grill well either way it should work out just fine![]()
Naah. I know where to get a black powdercoated mesh grill if I really want one. Bloody expensive, though, and I have to spend money on my car's real issues like broken electrical doo-dads and a funky door retainer. I keep forgetting that speed traps aren't my biggest problem. :?
Brick here is a solution and it would give our car a better look in my opinionOriginally Posted by brick

Have you looked on ebay, go to the main page and in the search bar type (grille volvo) there are quite a few listed.
