Doh! Thanks for the correction! ops:

I've only had about a half-dozen through my hands, and all featured an e-brake interlock, so I just assumed!

    Thanks again for the correction!
no, no its all good............. but its interesing, ive never seen a remote starter with a e-brake connection at all, I mean what would the e-brake have to do with the starter????

On my last one ( the only one for which I clearly remember the install - this alone was over 3 years ago, and I'm getting old! ), it did serve as a true interlock, as it was a part of the ground circuit - it was recommended in the manual that the user taps the ground for the parking-brake, so that the operation of the remote-starter, especially with stick-shift vehicles, would have one form of safety.

Oh. I see.......... its there to make sure the brake is UP......... ok that totally slipped my mind, yeah, now it makes perfect sence.......... but all the kits I see now-a-days have "FOR FUEL INJECTED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VEHICLES ONLY", so they dont even mention MTs, but any enthusiast knows that it can be done.... Where There's a Will, theres a way

My brothers Honda Element just got broken into... He has a 2 way pager system, but it was never installed .

They took his sub and broke his radio while trying to take it out of the dash (they couldn't get it out).

Window is smashed. Brother is pissed .
