Ok well as i wait for my last few parts to come in ive deciding to post my turbo progress and give hope to all the people out there that have a N/A car that you can turbo for cheap if you know were to go. As of now my turbo project was custom and for a pretty rare SE-R Spec V, not too much after market for it. (still plenty) but after about 1,200 its just about done and ready for the install. So yes it is possible to add 150+HP to your car for under a grand....especially if you own a honda, im getting ready to do a buddies accord i believe (he is still debating) but cost looks like it will be around 700$. ... Anyways on to pics..

WRX FUEL INJECTORS (need for fuel for the pressure, WRX ones fit perfectly because many parts in the WRX and Spec V are the same fuel line, pump wise)

AND MY BABY .50 trim overall and turbine is .57

Oh man I'm so jealous. I've already got a turbo, so I can't just bolt a new one on and get a crapload of extra horsepower...I can reprogram my ECU, I can install a better turbo, but I'm never going to get the MASSIVE gains from one single item like you can.

On the other hand, my car doesn't need to go that fast because it's just a street car now. But still. KICKASS!

well that jetta is a 1.8li turbo so really you couldnt go too much bigger. My car is 2.5li so this turbo is going to do a massive hp gain. Jetta's are already rather spiffy fun cars. You could get a SAFC and sqeeze some more power out of it and swap a different wastegate and BOV in. I just cant wait till the build is done and my money will go back up :roll: and i get to drive this on a daily basis.

Actually you can get great performance gains by switching from the KKK K03 to a K04 turbo, and really impressive gains by switching to a Garret. Plus you can get 35 hp and 50-70 lb-ft torque from the stock K03 just by reprogramming the ECU (we don't use SAFCs, they don't work right).

You can then go for a better intercooler and maybe a turboback exhaust for the big turbos (not really any use with a K03). That's about it for simple mods to give you big gains. Everything else is fine tuning.
