Texas is the only state I know of that you can ride in the back of a truck without a top and without seatbelt restraints, and the person riding in the open bed must be over 18 years of age.Originally Posted by no1crs

Its not legal in most states since the back doesn't have seatbelts. Exceptions are usually given to farm work though.

i have a pick-up and have my buddies ride in there all the time, i even had leos pass and not give me any trouble.
i know Florida doesn't enforce this law AT ALL, my cousins live in FL and cops don't seem to give a **** about anything![]()
