    Default New Job= New Car

Well ive been in school for business and just completed my first year of basic college and caught a lucky break and a brokerage firm is going to sponser me to take the series 7 test. So basically i will be 19 and making bookos of money and a financial adviser/ stock broker. Well anyways i plan on selling my spec to my lil bro since he has a jeep and gas is getting bad and im looking for something sporty.

The car has to have somewhat of some status. However im NOT looking for a business car but something that i can still drop in some performance parts. Currently these are my tops picks (in order)

    1.) Late Model Toyota Supra
2.) Late model R34/35 Skyline (i can get them fairly easily and legal for around 50k new)
    3.) Last Gen Mazda RX-7
4.)newer Mustang Cobra (ive always been kind of at ends with america made but i think i can settle for a gas guzzling S/C stang)

On top of this my gf of 2 1/2 years has a 07 Ford F-150 (FX2 body style) and with gas i plan on possibly getting her a newer lancer. So i dont need what ever car i get to be completly reliable because like any sporty car it wont be but i will have a backup.

Supra: Ok, Id rather have something like the Mitsubishi 3KGT VR-4. I like the AWD, Active Aero, AWD steering etc... and (IMO) Its a bit more of a Luxury car, that is if you plan on being mature and are done with any street-racing dreams you may have liked.

Skylines: Mehhhh, they are a bit pricey to upkeep... along with the 50K price tag to start, just not my bag of chips (If you have THAT much money, I would go the used Ferrari 348 Route...). Though the price will run another 10-15K for a decent one and insurance will be higher, but if you have that much money...guess its not a big issue. Not to mention the skylines aren't exactly handling dreams (IMO).

RX-7: My friend has one that is pushing a bit under 400RWHP. It has blown 2 APEX-seals, gets under 10MPG (mostly because his driving), and he is looking at a LS1 motor to swap into it. Personally if you are going to lightly modify it... the RX7 is the way to go, amazing handling and just a beauty plain and simple. If you want to heavily modify it, do yourself a favor and swap the LS1 motor and save yourself the High-HP headaches the 1.3litre-Rotary will cause you.

Newer Mustang: No, not as much class as the aforementioned (most people who own these seem to be ~45year old males who want to recapture youth, or ~35year old females who make good money and want a sporty car). That said, they are nice cars, and I have nothing against the car itself persay.

I wouldn't go near a Supra considering how bloody expensive they are. And they are falling apart. And Nick Hogan had one, that alone is enough to make me nix it

    I wouldn't pay $50k for a 10 year old Skyline either

I really like the last generation RX-7. But I haven't seen any for sale that were in a reasonable pricetag and were in even passable condition. I think they got "fast and furioused" to death sometime around the year 2000.

Mustang Cobra is kind of like "lets make a car as fast as a Camaro with a Corvette price"

For $40k you can have a brand new 430 horsepower Corvette... or a surprisingly recent Ferrari (yeah forget that you will never be able to maintain and insure that damn thing)

What kind of financial advisor decides to buy not only an expensive used car for himself, but also a new car for his girlfriend, at the age of 19?
