A firend of mine has two mint Vipers. One older, one newer but still both of them are mint and a little tricked out. He had fun in 3rd gear vs one of the new mustangs. Guy came up to him and wanted to race. Sure no problem, he just punched it while still in 3rd and blew the guys doors off. He never bothered with 4th If I wasn't so big I would love to own one, as it is my head sticks out the top and I just don't want to get hit by bugs going 170 mph

But yah, back to the SUV's. Sure many can out accelerate many cars. Think about it, they are using 3 times the fuel All the power without hauling something helps out a lot. Now take that SUV engine and manage to toss it in a small car and then see what happens.

I still want a VW R32 Twin Turbo. Their is more to a race then just driving in a straight line. If your going to race in traffic you have to be able to maneuver. We also have to consider that once the SUV gets to a certain speed it's naturally going to want to fly off the road. The same is true for many other cars that are not designed for the speed. They just lift up and fly away

Another thing, a good driver can do a whole lot with a car that a not so good driver never dreamed of. In other words it's not always about whats under the hood, it's also about who's in the drivers seat.

Also, no matter how fast your SUV is you can buy a car that will blow it away. Just don't buy a mustang. A good Vette or a Viper would be a cheap start.

Still I like that R32 twin turbo. Nice and small and fast. Something to be said about very small and fast.

In WA state it's perfectly legal to take a left on a red if the street you're turning onto is a one way street. My pet peeve is when people just sit at the light till it turns green when they could have turned a long time ago. Drives me crazy!

Happend to me twice tonight. I would think they would take it as a sign that they are traveling too slow in the left lane and move right for others, but they somehow think that they can just slow traffic. I beleive your supposed to stay in the right lane, and use the left for passing, but that doesnt happen. I would love to see cops pull people for doin that, makin those walls, all going the same speed on a 2-4 lane road... then I hold the horn in the far left till some one moves.

The reality is that most North Americans are Horrible drivers.
They just aim their vehicles down the road and hope for the best.
Eating lunch, drinking Coffee, yaking on the Phone, or my favourite...Women putting on Make Up...while driving.
SUV drivers are OK......it's the "Family" in Mini Vans that drive me insane.
Mom or Dad trying to discipline a Van full of Rug Rats while driving.
I agree, Hate the Left Lane Hog......
But my biggest Pet Peave......Those A Holes that pull up to a Red light in the left lane, come to a full stop, and then just as the light gets ready to change, turn on their left turn signal.......or don't signal at all....

People talking on Cell phones while eating an ice cream cone and driving a stick. I had a friend do that. Funny to see, scary for everyone else.
