    Default Engine Stop Leaks

Anyone recommmend a good stop leak additive? Not a major leak, just typical oil burn and some seal leaks.

I really would advise against putting any of those in your engine. I have never heard of any that work, and would be concerned they could clog up your oil passages in your engine instead of stopping the leaks your experiencing.

They work for minor leaks where the seals are dried out a bit. A good name brand is recommended though.

DONT PUT ANY OF THAT SHEOT IN YOUR ENGINE!!!!!!!!
Fix the seal thats leaking. If its almost time for a rebuild then do that instead of making it time for a rebuild.

I agree 110%. Additives like these can clog passages or can lead to burning up your engine's valves. Its far better to replace hardened gaskets and seals rather than using any engine additive.

I used ATF when my 1G Talon used to eat a bit of oil, but I wouldn't suggest you using this, it worked like a champ for me though.

dont know if its all marketing hype but you could try Valvoline Max life

    there claims:
Keeping your higher mileage car on the road means doing everything you can to protect it from engine breakdown.
MaxLife motor oil extends the life of higher mileage engines by fighting the four major causes of breakdown – leaks, deposits, sludge and friction. The synthetic blend formula contains our Multi-Life™ additive system designed to combat these problems unique to older engines. In fact, no leading conventional motor oil is formulated to protect higher mileage engines better.

MaxLife’s Multi-Life additive system takes a comprehensive approach to maximizing engine life:
    • Special seal conditioners rejuvenate seals within the engine block to help prevent oil leaks that lead to sludge and deposits
    • Anti-oxidant additives reduce oil viscosity breakdown to help prevent engine-clogging sludge and deposit formation
    • Detergents chemically bond with and remove existing sludge and deposits
    • Additional friction-reducing additives help reduce abrasion within engine
    • Anti-wear agents help prevent engine damage

I've seen bad things left in engines due to those types of additives. Most of the time the people who put that stuff in are just trying to prolong the inevitable anyway.
I did see a guy try to bring up his compression with one kind and it wore a few lobes right off a relatively new cam.
