Picked up another car...

I looked at/drove a bunch of stuff.

Almost rans:

2002 M5 The trans had a "catch" when going into 3rd. The wife didn't want a stick anyway. Had Dinan exhaust so it's probably seen some hard use.

2002 540i It was an auto but the nav screen was really small. It also had a tape deck which the wife thought made it look "80's" It didn't feel that "quick" may have been because it's quiet.

2004 CTS-v Wife didn't like the stick. It seemed like the fastest of the bunch but the exhaust was a little louder than the rest. Plus it was white...

I drove some other stuff over a few days and about 1000 miles but I wanted built in Nav. RWD/AWD and V8.

Anyway, the caddy has a v8 with the AWD and sport suspension. It's an auto but it has a 2nd gate on the shifter that allows you to ratchet through the gears. Kinda gimmicky and I'll probably never use it...


I was impressed with the acceleration. It feels like an old school V8 4bbl downshifting. Sounds like one too...

I travel for my job and get paid by the mile on my way to/from assignments so it's a "mission specific" vehicle

We've been car hunting for about a week in the maxima and I've felt naked as he!! without my CB! We looked at cars from Atlanta Ga. to Jacksonville Fla. so that's a lot of interstate driving. It's funny the way you get used to something like that...

The caddy is now sporting the X50...

It has "adaptive cruise" but I think it uses radar instead of the IR like the Infinitis...

Sick car, the Caddy combines class and comfort with a good engine, definetly have to get one someday, a good family/fun car.
