Another vote for a Whistler 1793SE/Pro-58/78... they're all the same unit performance-wise, just different looks and different luxury feature set (admit it-- you need that female voice telling you Ka band....)
They're very nice detectors for the money. Also their customer service has been the most amazing experience I've had -- that alone is worth the money I spent on my 1793SE
