Went to Foley, AL today and I had some notable encounters with the 9960G that I'm testing.
I was on my way back from the Tanger Outlet with my friends when we encountered 34.7 ka band. About half 3/4 mile up in heavy traffic I see a leo heading my direction.
This encounter was very impressive and this particular encounter was with 33.8 ka band. I had a friend with a Whistler xtr-130 follow me that also got a pretty decent warning. I got an alert for 33.8 ka band. I started to slow down, and I was looking all over the place for this cop, I activated my trip B part of my odometer. I kept going down and was looking all over the place for the leo. At first I thought I missed him. Then I see a cop facing away from me in an Impala with its lights off. Very impressive. My computer showed 1.2 miles of detection. Very impressive. The XTR-130 got a little less than a 1/4 of warning.
Overall, the sensitivity that I have experienced with this detector is very good on 33.8 ka band and 34.7 ka band. I have not had a 35.5 encounter yet. I will keep all of you posted. I will have plenty of both good and bad things to say about this detector come review time.![]()
