I posted this in the video section, but since this is the first time I ehave ver tested a Cobra, I thought I would put it in the Cobra section too.

Sounds like the alarm clock on my phone. Proof a cheap radar detector can perform well enough in certain encounters where raw sensativity is not as inportant.
The "test course" was not so hot with the Ka band.
But the FF and around the curve K-band stuff seperated the high-end detectors from the Cobra in a big way.
+1. Forward facing seperates the good from the bad evertime![]()
Once the Cobra had the radar behind it, it was tone deaf.
That wasn't fair for the Cobra. It was crooked and not level.
The V1 and 9500IX did good as expected vs constant on, but the Cobra alerted too late and couldn't distinguish between K and KA band... Btw I heard a chuckle when the Cobra alerted.
This must be why.Originally Posted by Freebird

All a Cobra's good for is falsing my V1. Everytime I go in to a car dealer lately, they have a healthy stock of the newest Cobra models for sale. I heard one of the service guys "pitching" a Cobra to a potential customer the other day. Couldn't believe the shi** that was coming out of his mouth..."Cobra has been around for so long they just basically perfected their unit and that's why it's so popular. If you get one of these things you'll be invincible!" LOL.
^Invincible huh? The only way you would even have a chance against leos using a Cobra is to buy their top models. Even then, unless you are getting a really great deal, you aren't really getting anything for what you spend.
I'm sorry you were banned drettzo
