ESD models are useless. Get rid of it.
Not all leos run radar, so no alert will happen with any detector; they're not cop detectors. However, my very first detector was an ESD Cobra, and I actually seen leos before I ever got an alert on occasion, and cops only use constant on in my area.

Its on craigslist right now. Funny thing is when I ask the guy how far does the range go and he said a mile. I'm not sure if that's true or not, buy I haven't got any alert yet only x band.

I mean, a mile is possible in perfect conditions (eg. no hills or other obstructions, straight road, constant on radar, etc.) I would think any radar detector would be capable of doing fine in conditions like that, but when it comes to any kind of obstructions or anything other than constant on, you'll get yourself in trouble. I would not rely on that unit at all to protect me from tickets.Originally Posted by scent
