I was just wondering if anyone has or used the silver bullet??

If so, whats are its strengths and weaknesses???

I think it is about 1-1.5 miles behind the competition in radar detection.

I use a PNI Traveller, I would think the Silver Bullet is not much different.
Mine is OK but not great.
If there is a lot of Ka used in your area, spend the other $150.00 or so and buy one of the Big Boys

Cops here use mostly K Band so it does the job up here.

The biggest complaint I hear from customers is the mounting system that they use, here is a photo

Yeah the battery pack really looks bad. I came very very close to buying a RX7500 but I did not like what I heard about the performance at all. Plus I really like how they tout "Spectre invisible" when there are zero Spectre I's in operation anymore and the "Spectre III" at the SML test was apparently faulty. That's the kind of stuff I'd expect from RMR

I had a chance to run my x50 along side my friends silver bullet. It missed 1 ka alert all togeather and it would of been costly. We got a weak 1 bar ka signal then it went away on the x50. about half mile later it came back. the silver bullet was still silent. the officer was just using pulse and when we approached his location the x50 continuned to grow from half bar to full alert. and at the very last second the silver bullet alerted.

it leaks ka pretty bad when ever we take the STI and EVO out for a cruise about every 10 to 15 minutes it will leak a 3 bar Ka alert very annoying.

I was not impressed at all but since he got it for free for xmas he could not complain. I'd so go with one of the big 3

I am sure glad i did not get a pni radar detector. i bought the whistelr 1730 i am
happy with it. it works good for a cheapy radar detector try one
