CONSUMER ALERT - LIES BEING SPREAD ABOUT GUYS OF LIDAR

GOL has repeatedly shown their integrity by standing by their test results and by answering any and all questions about their testing methodologies. I don't think that there is much point in trying to discredit those who currently are trying to discredit either GOL or GOL's test results and testing methodologies. Doing so could imply that there might be a fire when in actuality there is neither smoke nor flame. GOL have so far proven that they do their tests simply out of passion for the hobby and that they always let the results for every product fall where they may versus competing products.

GOL has always made it very clear what products they are testing (prototype, store bought, provided by a distributor, or member owned) and, more importantly, GOL (unlike CP) doesn't write up fancy conclusions as to what products are "the best" in their opinion. The only thing which GOL could do in the future is to comment whenever a particular test scenario (due to time, weather, unexpected traffic or other factors) may not have been the most ideal test scenario as was originally anticipated. In other words, readers would know that those particular test results, while perhaps fairly accurate, should be taken with a grain of salt.

The point is that GOL has nothing to prove to anybody since they have already proven their integrity via a long track record.

i personally enjoy the results that gol have posted and did alot of research before becomming a member that supports all the test results they have. i would love to go to the next gol test so i could get in on the fun, and would donate my time and resources to do so. keep it up guys and cant wait til GOL '08 (i need one of those yard signs with GOL '08 when it comes time for the election...people will be like WTF...who is GOL?)

GOL tests are the only true tests for laser and radar products period.

I was on a website of a company who sells radar/laser scramblers(the one who was investigated by the fcc) and saw in their FAQ(link on the top right of their website) links talking about how Radar Roy staged the jammer tests to fail and that all this website(this one here) does is try to deter business away from them. All I can say is they lack professionalism if they resort to this stuff.

i have been one of your biggest fans from DAY 1 when i first showed up here, the early days with being the first member to have you in my signature as well as bragging about your results and bashing other testers. now you guys have grown and have much more influence and need to be more careful of how people are using you and giving you guys a bad name (LI). the only reason i ended up even being a member here was b/c of you guys. you need to realize how powerful u are and clean things up! :idea:

The Laser Interceptor was a "development unit", which could be updated with new software in the field. After the "official" test, the developer of this jammer tweaked the software to eliminate the punchthroughs against the Stalker (as reported by GOL members). But since the official test was already complete, this could not be included in the results.

The Guys of LIDAR look forward to testing a retail sample of this jammer in the future.

YES PEOPLE ARE THAT STUPID LOOK HOW MANY HAVE GOTTEN SCAMMED ALREADY AND NO ONE IS EVEN REALIZING ITS A SCAM YET INCLDUING YOU

1. from the GOL webpage, the first mention of it being a prototype is on its listing, WHICH IS SQUEEZED IN BETWEEN RETAIL UNITS AND IS IN SMALL FONT. WOULDNT YOU SAY THIS WAS MISLEADING.

2. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN THE TEST METHODOLOGY AGAIN WHICH IT WAS NOT (AND MADE CLEAR)

3. AT THE VERY END OF ALL OF THE LJ TESTING RESULTS IN SMALL FONT THEY CALL IT A "DEVELOPMENT UNIT" WHICH CAN MISLEAD SOMEONE FROM THINKING ITS A PROTOTYPE (DIFFERENT LANGUAGE USED WHICH IS INCONSISTENT). ALSO MISLEADING WAS SPECULATION ABOUT THE SOFTWARE UPGRADING WITH NO TESTING WITH A WISH. THIS DOES NOT FIT IN A PURELY TESTING, NON-OPINIONATED SCIENTIFIC TYPE OF STUDY.

4. THEN THE LI WAS LISTED IN THE RESULTS SUMMARY AMONGST RETAIL JAMMERS.

5. THEN 1 HEAD WAS TESTED AGAIN WITH NO MENTION OF THIS BEING A PROTOTYPE UNIT.

MY CREDIBILITY, I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE GOL'S FIRST TEST. I OWN NO LASER JAMMERS PERIOD SO I HAVE NO BIAS. I HAVE NO AFFILIATIONS WITH GOL, OR ANY LJ COMPANIES.

I HAVE SEEN A SIMILAR SCAM LIKE GOING ON (WITH JTW INVOVLED NO NEED TO MENTIONED THE NAME) WHERE PEOPLE GOT RIPPED OFF. SMART DO SOME RESEARCH AND SEE IF HISTORY IS REPEATING ITSELF. IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE KNEW THE FRAMEWORK FOR THIS SCAM AND USED IT.
