I put some of the results on a easy to read page, here you go:

^ The 'Vette results, in terms of the 35.5, are indeed most interesting.

I'd like some discussion of perhaps why that was the case.

At first, I was ready to blame it on installation - but seeing that it spanned both the ci and i, and then, the shocker, the V1, totally changed my mind, and banished such a thought.

^^ Now, is the Spectre II the newest RDD? The 9500 isn't immune?

Spectre IV is the newest RDD, AFAIK. The only undetectable radar detectors are the 9500ci, the STi-R and the STi.

With regards to the short range on detection of 35.5 for the 9500i and 9500ci, that is indeed strange. What was the mounting location like for the CI's radar receiver? And does the Vette have one of those athermic windshields? How old was the 9500i that had the short range on 35.5 (wondering if it needs a tune-up or something)?
(If this info has been posted already, I apologize for re-asking but I'm too lazy to go all the way back through this thread.)

I typed the results wrong on the vette v1, what I typed was before we changed the radar antenna. The ci was still the same, I remember mike telling me that, the v1 went where the rest of the v1's were. Sorry my mistake, whoops.

The spectra 2 is not the the latest one. The spectre 3 is, but this is what we had, so it is what we used for testing.

I don't want you to have to re-edit your results again, but a V1 with firmware of 3.813 is version 1.8, not 1.7. 3.813 is Version 1.8 without POP.

EDIT: I'd just like to add a thank you to all of you guys for posting your testing results for us. I think the Spectre II numbers are very interesting.

The jammer installation of the Vette was about as bad as it could be. The heads were recessed behind a plastic grill, and pointed upwards... The rear heads were so far down they were protecting the exhaust more than the lights or plate. The owner is getting the whole thing redone.

As for the Antenna, it was mounted at the lowest point possible (like 6" from the road) and had a view of the road. I think we were all totally amazed at how bad the results were. Essentially, it didn't detect 35.5 until it had line of sight!

^^Guess it's time I invest in that Cobra I saw at Radio Shack.

But seriously, I think it would be nice to know if a LEO had a lock on you RD.
