Question Re: AlPiNe Up NOrth InVaTaTiOnal 08' Scheduled for Nov 15th 2008

It's a great testing Location, zero falses very Sparse traffic decent test run location for testing actual transmit distance via miles per unit. Although Not a "HOLE lot of parking area? Other than that it was fun.

Me and Languy put some things up to the test there the other day and it worked great . Although for a bigger event like next year is going to be, we need more parking area than what was provided, . Languy do you have any idea's to combat this issue?

Give me some time and I will see what I can come up with. We might even change the road. Let me look into it some more.

Also yeah it was fun, I deiced to build some brackets and bring out the heads about 3/4" father out. I was thinking that maybe I was getting punch through because they are tucked too far back. But I will have to wait for a warmer day to do it.

Also those rear punches on the LI was pretty interesting, weren't they......

Languy, I still have Chandler rd on my list so I can check it out too. And if you are having any problems w/ that Pro 58 since "all" rds have the opportunity to fall out of tune, please let me know so we can get it a simple "retune". Not a lot of work you know.

So have him get the 695 and we will send in the Pro 58 for a tuneup. Simple fix Languy. BTW, my Pro 78 is on it's way back to me as we speak. It should be here either tomorrow or Saturday so yet more testing needs to be done.

Question Re: AlPiNe Up NOrth InVaTaTiOnal 08' Scheduled for Nov 15th 2008

Ya, maybe next time Languy we should put results to a Real test where they belong though, since your miraclous PT occured when a big gob of Roadgrime and Salt was covering the Transmitter side of the head this might of had just a little something to do with your "Questionable" results on the LI.

As far as other things that where bogus with that test. The heads need to be reinstalled, and where Very off as to level when it came to Side to Side level, infact Languy, the Bubble wasn't even inside the Lines. So the Legimacy of that test? Well, thats utterly Beyond debateable. It is not healthy to go by winter testing results my friend. There are "FAR" too many variables, and not enough Controls to call it anything near scientific enough. BTW As far as I was aware I JFG'd you the first run before I started tinkering with my heads "WHICH" I shouldn't have done on the spot. That has been proven even with Blinder LJ's don't beleive me watch Outrun's videos he tryed to do this same very thing once level the head's on sight and Totally messed up everything he did at home on a Level Cement pad. Which is where they should be leveled not on the Sholder of a Highway with two tires on the roadway and the other two on the pavement. This is not legitiment.

So thus neither are those results. And Languy, this is why I didn't attempt to level them again and freeze my hands off before I went home, you saw me say why bother. Because I knew no matter where I opted to Attempt to be level that it wouldn't ever be Right enough to make them Legitly level.

Also lastly as far as I was aware you stated to me that day you didn't get actual PT, you indicated you may have had a range but no speed. So that means absolutely nothing also. Kinda hard to give a ticket on range alone.

I got punch through on the last runs when we were using the PL2, it was the last runs of the night. When that happened I got lock 4 times. Once you get those head level there should be no problems.

Yeah, PT happens every now and then but it is NO BIG DEAL. It's what you call a laser jammer. When leveling out laser jamming diodes, it does help if you have a flat surface but let's also keep in mind, not everybody lives on a paved road so this may not be an option unless a garage is near and is available. As long as we have COMPLETELY UNBIASED TESTING where a person firing the lidar gun knows that Alpine and I do not support BIAS Languy, that's what matters. Another + for COMPLETE UNBIASED TESTING AND ENJOYMENT.

Yeah, I am not biased when I shoot someone with a laser gun. I try to do my best to get a good reading, nothing more nothing less.

Any future plans for an 09 meet?

I am working on purchasing a Dual LI to keep MSP's revenue down.

You can always count on them just south of West Branch
