She looks good, simple as that.I really like the direction Caddy has gone with their styling, of the last half-decade or so. The 'Slade is a looker.
The output is definitely "robust" - no need to worry about that. And yes, when you look at your LED-based system, it may seem that the LED's are "brighter," but trust me, the laser-diodes are much, much more "robust" in terms of their output power. After you pointing me to verifying the firing of the heads I now see they respond with a very defined reply. I thought they would emit a more robust output and therefore can now understand the importance of aiming.
But I know what you mean-> you mean that you would be able to see it better, from different angles, and that you didn't expect to only be able to see the output from "smack-on, dead-on."
Have a look for ahmadr's "Extreme angles consideration" post, and you'll get a much better feel for why aiming/leveling is so crucial:

I honestly don't think that three front will be necessary - and at the same time, a single rear would be a total waste....it won't do any good at all, particularly given the absolutely atrocious amount of area that they'd have to cover, with the configuration of your SUV's tail-side.I was contemplating adding rear heads after evaluating the front performance but now may opt to pop #3 in the front center and possibly only one in the center rear?????
Just got in from our balmy -24C. Parked the beast and drove out with the MDX and first location was at 240 meters resulting in virtually zero readings.Next to 200M and from there on in the gun was consistantly more responsive.
I VERY MUCH believe the skewed heads to be the lack of performance and shall report back after the tweak (shall also advise just how far off they are)
Cheers ! And Happy Holidays to you all and thanks for your all the input...nice chatting with ya![]()
Good stuff (er....not the cold!).Glad we all got to the bottom of this one!
