Just a friendly FYI...you're warning the very people that you NEED to be guinea pigs NOT to be guinea pigs. If we all wait several months, there will be no intelligent contributions to the fixing of issues. The average consumer isn't going to know WTF he should report should there be an issue with his RD....so...shouldn't you say something more like, "Hey guys! Go out and grab a Redline! Placing my order shortly, too!...(In 5 months)..."

Don't worry there will be plenty of guinea pigs no matter how many times I post that. Because plenty that won't read it, plenty that won't see it, and I sure there are a good amount that will think I'm wrong that do read it.

I will be buying a RedLine once they are available to dealers. I can not bring myself to pay $500 for a radar detector that from what I have seen does not perform much better than the V1 at $400. I am also waiting for the GoL results to see how the RedLine does.

From what I understand they did not have one to test.

Also, I believe they said it would take a couple of weeks to publish the results.

LOL, man I seriously doubt they delayed the release to keep GOL from testing it, they know it's going to be tested regardless of the release date.

Some speculate it was to fix the QT problem, but who knows.... That would be awesome if they actually took this problem seriously and decided to address the issue.

Not necessarily such a far fetched idea. If they had released it per the original schedule, and it had flubbed in the GOL testing, that would probably equate to alot of returns within the 30 day limit or alot of cancelled orders based on the GOL tests alone.

Like any new release of any new product, your volume of orders is at it's peak with the initial roll out. It's at this moment when they are dripping with joy.........demand exceeds capacity!

We are very small part of Escorts sales, they are not extremely concerned with GOL testing, though it still matters its not going to effect there Bottom line much if at all.
I do agree that they are doing something about QT though.

I’m making an educated guess from what i have herd with my conversations with Escort. They may be doing something about QT in the redline only.
IMO there is no financially smart way to improve everyone’s QT response on already owned units.

If they do it as a USB they are risking competition hacking into how there units work, like the TSR problem.

If they have you send it in it will cost us allot and make us mad if they do it cheep/free they will lose money.
