    Default Escort 8500 X50 , Veil, and Laser Shield Make officer move!

    I have posted on this particular Highway and Police Department before. However tonight was a real good test run.

    I was driving West on I-64 in Frontenac, MO looking for the LEO vehicle on my side of the road. He was not at his normal Spoede Rd spot. So I think to myself I wonder if he's shooting on the other side of the road at Eastbounders. Sure enough he was. So I get off at the next exit and make a flip back on to the highway towards him. I have his location in my GPS so the distance is almost down to the foot. I keep a steady 60 MPH in the 55 MPH zone and as I come to the 2,112 Ft Mark I get a Laser Alert. I was the only one on the road so it would be easy for him to get a reading on my right? Well maybe not, with my Viel and Laser Shield along with my black car he kept shooting me all the way down to 298' from his laser gun!

    Now some may think , well he wanted to see if you would speed up, well could be the case but if I kept a constant 60 for 1814' Feet I highly doubt it.

    I'M pretty sure the Viel, LaserShield and Black Car had something to do with it.

    I thought I'd play with the leo a few more times so I got off at the next exit turned around again and came back. This time he moved from his spot!! Where did he move? On top of the overpass this time so he could shoot directly down at cars from a distance of 1056' Feet.

    Now, what I can't figure out. After he moved there was another LEO on the west bound side running constant KA that could be picked up for more than 7/10ths of a mile which was about 2/10ths of a mile from the overpass that the leo was sitting on. The leo on top of the overpass was shooting his laser 2/10ths of a mile down at cars after they had already passed the leo with constant on.

    Were they calibrating the laser gun? Could I have made the cop wonder if his laser gun was working ok?

    I passed by the spot a few more times while he was on the overpass and kept getting a laser alert from his LTI 20/20 at a distance of 2/10'th until 1/10th of a mile from him.

    I feel that the Veil and LaserShield protection are a must after tonight!

    I'M really hoping he had a hard time getting a reading, I will post graphics of the area traveled along with Distance the X50 Picked up to the Distance it stopped along with the leos speed trap spot.

    Default i too have a black car, veil and x50

    The same thing happenned to me. I posted earlier, but was up in Maine a few weeks ago. Just south of Augusta on a ski trip. I wa following two rabbits....about 3-400 ft in front of me. Doing 95-100 for a good ten miles. No brake lights from the two cars in front of me. Then my x50 went nuts on laser. I hit the brakes hard. A few hundred feet there were two cops sitting under a bridge. 1/4 mile up 3 cruisers pullikng over the two rabbits in front of me. I wa doint at least 90 when my laser alert went off....never got pulled over. I am waiting to decide on which shifter to get...but so far the veil and laser shield i knowhas worked. this is the second time.

    Can we see how dark is the Veil on your cars ?

    I feel 2006 will be the laser year for leo

    Well, I looked at the 2nd re application today and there are lots of specks where the Veil came off. So Ill be waiting for a 3rd application and will show you the pics when it gets done.

    i'm sure you know this but the laser alert on the x50 will continue to alert for a few seconds after the hit. the v1 i think is the only detector that only alerts as theres an actual hit going on.

    edit: so the length at which hes lasering you until may be shorter than what you're thinking maybe so maybe he did get a lock sooner than you think?

    Yes, this is true, however it does not last longer than 5 seconds max! But yes you are correct!

    wow awesome story. The best thing about VEIL, the guns are silent!! So its possible he thought it was jacked up Being it was late and you kept driving past probably gave him even more doubt
