    Default laser shield - does it matter which side faces outward?

    Hey guys, I just bought a laser shield from Roy and was wondering if it matters which side faces outward when you put it on. There is a smooth and a rough side, does it matter? There were no instructions with it. I thought it was an actual licence plate case, but it's just a thin piece of plastic. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.

    I just bought one and DID get directions with mine. It says smooth side against plate.
