Default Are you or have you ever been a LEO that does/has enforce(d) traffic laws?

    SHOW YOUR LEO PRIDE!

Some of you are open about it and some are former LEOs. I would guess a bunch are reserve and many are active. Here is you chance to fess up.

Some sites that are specific to LEOs but do allow non-LEO members on the site. They also allow their membership to call the non-LEO members "trolls" (not nice).

Most of us that beat up on LEO do it with tongue in cheek (like with Fritter)

It would be interesting to know that you are out there and if you have to stones to admit to it.

We won't hate you. We will probably blast you with a million questions.

(I posted this here rather than the Lounge because many of the (LEO?) visitors don't make it to the Lounge)

I have been zoomin, with many a LEO. My neighbor is a local LEO that has a fast car and a badge but he is retiring soon. He will need some countermeasures. Most LEOs are fun!

    mE i DO ....

The more they sneak here , the more they learn how to
    beat us ....

Dont fraternise with the enemy ...it only brings you trouble ....
becaussssse they dont love us ....their job is about $afety

    My very personnal opinion .
O divine art of subtlety and secrecy!
    Through you we learn to be invisible, through you inaudible;
and hence hold the enemy's fate in our hands.

    Found another one:

    LEO42:

You can complain to the magistrate about anything you want (if they let you complain). You are actually lucky they didn't take you to jail. In my state that speed is considered reckless driving and it is a jailable offense.

Complaining will not get you out of your responsibilities. The officer will lay out his case, you will lay out your case.

Pay the clerk on the way out.
    And another:

    LEO_JPFlagg:

The new portable sirrus sat radios do not set off the Spectre, either the Mark 2/3 or any of the prototypes that are currently in testing for the future versions.

I stopped one 3 weeks ago with that very same model of sirrus and had no signal at all. I only stopped to check and see what he had on the dash, as it does have a similar look to some of the detectors however there is no signal what so ever. I would suggest that if anyone were to do a stealth install of a detector that fact that it couldn't any longer be used for sat radio might be a fairly large clue to any LEO stopping you and conducting a search.

There was one model of remote antenna (no longer manufactured) for sat radios that would set off the Spectre 1, (also no longer manufacture) that would give off some interference only if it was mounted externally, but this has long since been addressed by SMS.

As far as remote powered detectors used as decoy, go a head fill your boots. It might baffle a LEO to pass by an empty stretch of highway for a while that was giving off a hit, but this would only last as long as your battery.

    Cheer

    Cheers
    This thread is stickie worthy.

    Another two:

    thestampcollector

    CapeCodPoliceOfficer:

The best part about writing speeding tickets is when I catch someone that has a radar, especially when it flashing and beeping like its gonna blow up. Then I make a smart ass remark like, hey guess you should go get your money back for the radar or, guess your radar aint working too well. The look on the operators face is priceless
Maybe there are more LEOs than members on this forum.
