Question The flow of traffic in cali is scary.

From time to time I'd visit San Jose cali and everytime I get on the freeway, everyone is driving 15MPH+ PSL . Where are all of the cops?
Here in Oregon, the average flow of traffic is normally only 4-8MPH+ PSL OR minus 5MPH below speed limit.
Wouldn't the cops in cali be hella rich like the ones here in Oregon if they just spend all of their time pulling people over?

Probably their off day. Seems like I-5 has them stopping everyone doing 10 over on some days. Other days you will never see one which is odd.

We also have what is known as "Wheelie Tuesday" around here. Seems that is the day the motorbike cops are off and take their high-performance sportbikes out and do 'stunting' on the streets since they can ("See the badge?") and people now assume they are cops showing off. They'll even do it in front of a sheriff's car and do stoppies too. They'll just give a thumbs up to the sheriff and he'll just wave back.

California tickets are easy to beat, and many Californians fight there ticket, thus we get away with it. Oregon on the other hand is a 'civil infraction' type state where the cases are handled in civil court.

They're not easy to beat. I live here.

But I'm sure it's easier than some states.

California tickets are pretty easy to beat in general. I've won 4 of 5 including 4 in a row. It just takes a little effort.

    1) You should almost never lose a 22350.

    2) Trial By Written Declaration is a free chance to win your ticket. Don't like the decision, get a new trial.

x2 I've only lost like 3 or 4 citations in calif, 1 or 2 of those were before I started fighting, the 3rd was a stop sign ticket that was complete b.s. but was my word against cop, 4th I didn't show up for trial de novo b/c I moved. I've had at least 11 or so citations in cali
