Just Curious....how many tickets issued for 5 mph or less over PSL?

I was just wondering how often tickets are issued for 5 mph over the PSL on roads where the PSL is 40mph or greater?

I could see getting a ticket for 5 over PSL in a school zone or where the PSL is really low to begin with.

I'd like to continue to stay citation free...but 5 over is very easy to do....almost hard to avoid in some situations even with cruise ctrl on like steep grades, strong winds etc in a van / truck.

The only one I have ever heard of was my Grandpa got one in OH for going 66 in a 60mph zone. It was on US 35 about 30 miles from the WV state line. The PSL goes from 55, 60 then to 65 the closer you get to the WV state line. It's a huge speed trap all the cops are in the 55 and 60 mph zone.

In GA never, there is no fine for speeding 1-5 MPH, no pints until you are 15 over PSL, so that's where they typically start enforcement. The law says they have to give you 10 over before they can issue a ticket using electronic speed detection devices.

I've been pulled over for 10 over but he wrote the ticket for 5 over, but never have I actually been pulled over or heard of anyone I know getting pulled over for actually going 5 over the PSL

Georgia sounds pretty cool with respect to speeding...compared to many ther states.

Georgia is but the tickets tend to be expensive from what i have heard.

me...none. I know two people that have been ticketed for doing <5mph. One was doing 3mph over and the other 4mph. Both happened on different days in different parts of the county (Fairfax County VA). They can be ruthless with this stuff. Damn them and their ProLaser III guns.

Fedfax? lol... no wonder, they pull you over for anything possible. It's probably the closest thing to police state (county) I've ever seen so far. Even surrounding counties are not nearly as bad.
