To pass or not to pass???

It wouldn't be too hard to set up a hi-res camera and use software to identify potential tagets. Now that would be the ultimate iPhone / Trapster add- on app! The military has several such devices they use. Now we just need to transfer that technology to the civilian market. But for now using a passenger with binoculars is probably the cheapest solution!

I want a remote control airplane with surveillance that knows where I'm driving and flies a mile ahead of me relaying information on speed traps. No need for any other countermeasure.

Sorry I didn't clarify. I have never used binoculars in the drivers seat. In fact I keep them in the passenger door pocket. My girlfriend uses them. Which works out because most of the time when I'm driving long distance where speeding makes a huge difference in drive time she is with me. They have definitely come in handy for unmarked chargers and crown vics that are up the road.

She's a keeper! I keep a pair in my car as well, but they have never been used that way yet. I originally picket them up because they were on sale at army navy surplus, and have used them to read street signs when the gps led me astray. They allow me to read the sign up the road (while stationary) before I commit to driving that way.

Now all I need is the right passenger.

I drive pass them going slightly above their speed, never had a problem.
