THE NEXT RADAR DETECTOR FROM ESCORT

Ok guys. Escort normally comes out with a new detector at least every 2 to 3 years. The X50 has been out for a little over 2 years now.

Anyone heard any rumors or information on when and what the next ESCORT radar detector will be?

They have to be in the works for something to replace the X50. I CAN'T WAIT! I love getting a brand new radar detector that is just released - its awesome.

Any info??

Bel and Escort are now one company, so I think of the STi as the "new Escort." I'm sure Belscort will release a Passport 9500 with Spectre-immunity and Ku-band detection eventually...once they figure out how to do both in one detector.

I think Escort will slowly cease to make new products since Bel is now the "flagship" company brand... unless Roy or someone in the know says otherwise.

I don't care. I am sick of having to BUY a new escort to "upgrade" everytime they come out with a new one.

V1 will be my next purchase when my x50 dies.

Ahhhh, after buying 3 new escorts and 1 bell I got frustrated and switch to v1 mainly because upgrading is a lot cheaper.

Escort will come out with something, just not sure what.

Don't expect to see an STI version for Escort, it probably won't happen.

Even though they have the same ownership they plan to continue 2 separate design lines with 2 seperate market areas.

that can happen to anything you buy, you were the unlucky one

thats why there is a return policy and a phone to call the great customer service personel of valentine research and tell them the problem

they should replace it

X2 I bought and returned a V1 last year, sent it to repair first then had it transferred to the return department.
It was a returned unit when I bought it as well but you would never know.

yeah as much as i like my x50, there's no way in hell i wouldn't be getting a v1 as my next upgrade. i'm also sick of escort's bull about futureproofing. and yes, while no company can really provide a detector that is that futureproof, i remember when i got the 7500s, it boasted about upgradability and dsp reprogrammability and this and that. within a few weeks, i returned it for the x50 which promised the same thing. Mine came with version5 and is still the current version. woop woop
