In the efforts of preventing yet another Clone War, I'll sum it up as best I can. I own an X50, and have never owned a V1, though I have used a borrowed one in my car a couple of times, and have ridden in a car with one on a medium-range trip (3 hours).

If you drive mostly on the highway at high speeds and need the range, go with the V1. If you drive in urban areas and need superior filtering, or if you don't have $400 to throw down on a detector, get the X50.

Not with the V1. There have been about at least half a dozen of us who were saved by our V1 and laser scatter. Me included on more than one occassion.

Do all of your posts make this much sense, or do you have to make a special effort for clone threads? Seriously, you like the V1, we get it. Now quit being a tool and either contribute useful information (like why you prefer the V1, or what advatages you think it has over other detectors, etc.) to these threads or atornilla apagado already.

Clone wars accomplish nothing other than turning people off to this forum entirely. You're not going to covert anyone by being a pene estúpido, and that goes for both sides. Most people here are capable of giving reasons for their opinions, so how about something more informative out of you than a typical clone repy that makes you look like an extremo trasero del caballo?

When I called to check on my x50s status, I asked if the antenna and software will be updated/revised and the phone support gal told me they would fully upgrade/date it.

I am skeptical, but dont care, its going to my friend.

    Someone already said it but...
If most of your driving is in urban areas, get the X50. It has better filtering and is easy to live with.

However, since you included NJ in your area, you may want the V1. It will pick up X band WAY before the X50. V1 is the best on X and K. You can't beat it.

Ka? They have similar performance from my experience.

LIDAR? V1 is better but it doesn't matter if you're the first to be hit. It's all over before you even think about hitting the brakes, unless you have a jammer. Even then, there's no guarantee.

The arrows are a unique feature of the V1 and they are really nice on the highway.

If you get a Ka alert with any RD, slow down! It's hard to detect with any RD. Hope this helps.
