    Yep I still have my Passport and it was a kick ass detector for its time--of course Mr.V made it too so you know it was goood!

    What was the differnace with the classic model? Mine wasnt a classic

    If they could update the passport to include Ka band and laser it would be my detector of choice today - regardless of the lack of arrows. lol - strange thing to say coming from me.

    Nah Mike left after '84. Maybe he had some input on the first PASSPORT (hit the streets in '86) but the glory days of Cinncinnati Microwave were still alive.

    I think the V1 is very much the modernization of the "real" ESCORT. Right down to the knob ;>

    Yeah, he definitely had some input. The original idea/concept for the Passport was as early as 1981. Mike left in July 1983. Passport was released in late 2004.

    SO what was the "Classic" part about the passport than mine does not have?
