    Default SRX Laser Falsing

I've had my SRX installed for about 2 months. All has been find until the last week or so. The rear laser is false alarming and sometimes the front laser does as well. The system was professionally installed. Anyway, would a bad connection somewhere cause the falsing or could it be something else. Also, when it false alarms, it won't shut off. I have to power off the unit and back on again. I'm going to take it back to the dealer to check it out but thought I might ask here before taking it in.

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it's defective since you have to turn the unit off to stop the alert. Never known a detector to hold on to laser in that manor. I would send it back for a replacement or repair. I was thinking about going the route with a completely hard installed remote unit but was scared of things like this occuring. The remote units are great until a problem occurs. Hope you get the issued solved. If you bought from Roy he will take care of you.

In doing some more searching, I understand that it could be that a filter capacitor is needed on the power input lines and could cause this problem. I'm investigating this option now and with my installers. The filter is supposed to block electrical noise on the wire or something like that. I'll post my results if I get any...

Ah, that could be an issue, I didn't think of that.
