Just get some peel and stick rubber feet. :? You know, the little round rubber thingies you'd put on the bottom of something you don't want sliding around. You should be able to get them anywhere you can buy Velcro and such.

I'm not sure that I want my mount on the dashboard though...Originally Posted by M_Six
I just found this:

Although it won't fit an e46 rearview mirror...
My X50 was like that for about the first week, I got SICK of it, so then I took it off and bent the bracket to 'custom fit' my windshield... no more bouncing, the thing that drives me crazy is that sometimes the antenna for my security system (mounted on windshield, pointing down on the far left side) will wiggle around clicking on the windshield over uneven road surfaces
i must say that mirror mount is cool, but for me where my RVM is mounted to the chasis roof (as opposed to the windshield) the stick is more vertical than horizontal and I doubt something like that would fit
If you bend the bracket, then the detector doesn't lie horizontally. I tired that first with no luck. How about a piece of silicone fuel line like that sold in R/C hobby stores, applied to the front top edge of the X50 to soften the blows on the glass? That might be my next attempt.Originally Posted by Arashi666
I actually didnt bend the part between the cups, I bent it at the bend it already makes (between the cups and the mounting 'notches'), I bent it so that the thing is barely able to sit on the last notch (my windshield is slanted at a pretty good ange, so at first the mounting was not just unstable, but not pointed straight either, either up or down), so thats how I did it, yes youre absolutely right though, I dont suggest bending the bracket in the area between the cups (hell, i dont think you even can with the way the thing is built)Originally Posted by DAG
Does anyone know of any other custom made mounts for an x50??
